Cancellation Policy
Applicability
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to bookings made directly with Uttarakhand Trails unless a different cancellation policy has been specifically provided in writing for a particular trip, trek, tour, accommodation or service. Where a booking-specific cancellation policy has been provided and accepted by the traveller, that policy will apply to that booking.
Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only after the required advance/payment has been received and the booking has been confirmed by Uttarakhand Trails. Payment of an advance amount does not automatically mean that the amount is fully refundable. Refund eligibility depends on the applicable cancellation terms.
Cancellation by the Traveller
All cancellation requests must be made in writing through email or another communication method accepted by Uttarakhand Trails. The effective cancellation date will normally be the date on which the cancellation request is received and acknowledged by Uttarakhand Trails. Any refund will be calculated according to the cancellation policy communicated for the specific booking.
Booking-Specific Cancellation Policy
Different trips may have different cancellation terms depending on:
- trek permits;
- accommodation commitments;
- transportation bookings;
- local service providers;
- peak-season demand;
- group size;
- government charges;
- advance payments made to third parties; and

Non-Refundable Components

- transportation cancellation charges;
- accommodation cancellation charges;

Such amounts may be deducted from any eligible refund.
